How to paint on satin crepe?

Satin crepe is, like all silks, pleasant to paint but takes a little practice.

At 123 Créa, we offer colors for silk H Dupont Classique, Alter Ego, Arasilk, ... Some attach to the oven while others attach to the iron or microwave! The choice is vast.

To paint on silk, you will also need a notched frame and seams . Of course, we offer all of this for sale in our online store.

Instructions for use

It is preferable to wash your silk before painting it in order to remove a maximum of residue of products used during manufacture (for example grease used on the rolling line so that it slides better).

  1. Fix your silk on the notch frame using claws or tacks
  2. Pass a anti-fusant (Optional)
  3. Make your design with setting in the color of your choice
  4. Prepare your silk colors and apply them using a brush or an eyedropper
  5. Let dry
  6. Pass in the oven, iron or microwave depending on the paint you have chosen
